VARIOUS OF FIREFIGHTING HELICOPTERS DROPPING WATER ON BURNING AREA BURSA, TÜRKİYE - AUGUST 28: A forest fire broke out on Thursday, Aug. 28, in Türkiye's Bursa province, with extensive efforts underway to contain it from the air and ground. The blaze erupted in a wooded area in Yenisehir district for a reason that has not yet been determined. Upon receiving the alert, the Regional Directorate of Forestry immediately dispatched its resources to the region. The fire reportedly grew in intensity due to strong winds. As a precautionary measure, the Yenisehir-Bursa highway was temporarily closed to traffic between the 1st and 25th kilometers. Motorists are being directed to use the Yenisehir-Inegol highway as an alternative route. In an official statement posted on its social media account, the Bursa Governorate detailed the scale of the response: "To bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it, 718 personnel, five helicopters, four firefighting aircraft, and 151 vehicles are intervening." Efforts to fully control and extinguish the fire continue intensively.
