The Moment an Online Motorcycle Taxi Driver Died After Being Run Over by a Brimob Tactical Vehicle
An unidentified online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver was reportedly killed after allegedly being hit and run over by a police tactical vehicle on Jalan Penjernihan, Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday evening (August 28, 2025). This tragic incident occurred amidst police efforts to disperse a growing crowd of demonstrators from in front of the Indonesian Parliament Building. The moment an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver reportedly died after being run over by a Brimob tactical vehicle went viral on social media. The incident occurred during a clash between demonstrators and police in the Pejompongan area of Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Thursday evening (August 28, 2025). The incident began when a police tactical vehicle sped up to disperse and disperse the crowd in Pejompongan. In an amateur video circulating on social media, the crowd can be seen scattering, running to the right and left sides of the road. Then, a Brimob tactical vehicle broke through the crowd and sped across from one of the churches in the area. Unfortunately, an ojol driver who was at the scene became the target. At the same time, an ojol driver fell into the middle of the road and was run over by the vehicle.
