Storyline: The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,966, with 159,266 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on Oct 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Thursday. Since Israel resumed military operations in Gaza on March 18 following a brief ceasefire, 11,121 people have been killed and another 47,225 injured, according to the statement. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks on the enclave have killed 71 people and wounded 339 others. Among the casualties, 22 people lost their lives and 203 were wounded while receiving aid supplies. According to records provided by local hospitals, four people died from hunger and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, including two children. The total death toll from famine and malnutrition in the enclave has reached 317, including 121 children. At least 22 Palestinians, including medical staff and journalists, were killed in an Israeli attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Monday.
