Torrential rain in Cornwall has left roads submerged by floodwater in Newlyn on August 29.

Footage shows vehicles being forced to drive carefully and slowly through the deed puddles.

Extremely heavy downpours last night and into the early morning have caused traffic problems for many in the far south west of Cornwall at Newlyn, near Penzance. Council staff have been working all night to clear drains and blockages and help residents affected by the flooding
