Storyline: Visa-free access fuels Chinese tourism boom in UAE [Voice_over] Summers in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, can be sweltering. But inside one of the world's largest indoor ski destinations, Ski Dubai, a snowy respite awaits. As one of Dubai's most iconic leisure destinations, it's the first and largest indoor ski resort in the Middle East, featuring one of the world's longest indoor ski runs at over 400 meters. Thanks to travel agreements between the UAE and China, lots of Chinese tourists visit the region, and Ski Dubai is one of their favorite locations. One ski instructor at the resort said there are always some Chinese nationals in her classes. [Sound_bite] Chen Jiaoyue, Chinese instructor, Ski Dubai: "I teach five or six classes daily. Chinese guests comprise roughly one-fifth of each lesson. We also run into some Chinese families - parents with kids - coming here for vacation. It's a fabulous summer retreat, and everyone wants to learn to ski here." [Voice_over] Both the UAE and Qatar have had reciprocal visa-free arrangements with China since 2018. The UAE has direct flights to 13 cities across the Chinese mainland. In June of this year, China extended its visa-free travel arrangements to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, which means citizens from all six countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council can enjoy the travel policy.
