China: 7th China-Arab States Expo opens in NW China's Yinchuan
Storyline: 7th China-Arab States Expo opens in NW China's Yinchuan [Voice_over] Six sessions of this Expo have been held in Yinchuan, Ningxia since 2013, with "Friendship, Cooperation, and Win-win Development" as the principle. The Expo serves as a significant platform for China and Arab states to jointly advance the Belt and Road Initiative. Held as a biennial event, this year’s expo features six main exhibition areas, including a dedicated zone for Belt and Road partner countries, clean energy, and the digital economy. A total of over 2,200 business associations, chambers of commerce, and enterprises from 75 countries have registered to participate. And this edition of the expo introduces several firsts, such as the inaugural Silk Road E-Commerce Cooperation and Innovation Conference, fostering a mutually beneficial global e-commerce market. And also for the first time, the expo includes AI and gaming industry experience zones with participation from companies like Huawei and Unitree. The global delegates could have a taste for the food made by robots and experience the smart applications in medial scenarios, such as AI brain-computer interfaces, which is a sign showcasing the growing interest and potentials for new ties between China and Arab countries on AI and high-tech sectors. Also, this year's expo will witness the signing of cooperation agreements across various fields. In recent years, China-Arab economic and trade relations have maintained rapid and stable growth, becoming a model for South-South cooperation. The trade volume between China and Arab countries has skyrocketed from $36.7 billion in 2004 to more than $400 billion in 2024. This remarkable growth is underpinned by political mutual trust, cultural affinity, and economic complementarity. [Restrictions : No access Chinese mainland]
