Phoenix, United States - August 29, 2025 08/28/2025 10:00 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to preliminary information, Phoenix police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a white Chrysler 300 in the area of I-17 and Dunlap Avenue. The reason for the initial stop has yet to be confirmed. The driver failed to yield to officers, and felony flight was established. Officers fell back to a safe distance as the Phoenix Police Department helicopter began tracking the vehicle's movement. Officers with the Tactical Support Bureau (TSB) responded to the area and began to devise a plan to stop the suspect. Eventually, as the suspect was in the eastbound lanes of Glendale Avenue just West of the I-17, a TSB unit deployed a Grappler on the driver's side rear tire, immobilizing the vehicle. A second TSB unit positioned their patrol car in front of the suspect's vehicle. Officers deployed baton rounds and pepper bullets into the vehicle to coerce the suspect out of the car. The suspect exited the car and was taken into custody. The suspect was evaluated and transported by firefighters to a local hospital for further evaluation.
