MAGALI, ONE OF PROTESTORS, SPEAKING TO CAMERAPARIS, FRANCE - AUG. 30, 2025: Pro-Palestinian protesters marched in Paris on Saturday, Aug. 30, against Israel’s war in Gaza, carrying Palestinian flags, banners reading 'Peace in Palestine' and 'Stop the genocide, silence kills.' Demonstrators held symbolic sacks of flour and empty pots to highlight famine in the enclave and accused Israel of killing journalists. Organizers said police ordered the removal of mock coffins and shrouds representing Gaza’s dead before the march could proceed. The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 11,240 people and injured 47,794 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
