Organizers said the event, which opened Thursday and welcomed the public from Friday through Sunday, has been bridging the gap between past and future, emphasizing that the “blue homeland” is among the most vital legacies to pass down to future generations. Competitions ranged from unmanned underwater systems to underwater rockets and autonomous maritime vehicles, drawing young innovators from across the country. The event features important maritime vessels, including the first UAV carrier ship, TCG Anadolu, the Bayraktar TB3, and TCG Anadolu ships, which are capable of taking off and landing from short-runway vessels, not only launching Türkiye's national naval aviation but also opening the doors to a new era as a game-changing force. TEKNOFEST is billed as the world’s largest technology event, having attracted 10 million attendees and five million competitors to date, according to experts.
