Politicians and business leaders attended the event, which took place 11 months after Sheinbaum assumed office. In her speech, Sheinbaum said, “Friends, we are doing well and we will do better.” She added that Mexico’s peacebuilding policy is decided independently and guided by honesty, conviction, and perseverance.
