Heavy rains cause canopy roof collapse at Peñaranda Park in Legazpi, Albay
On August 30, 2025, in Legazpi, Albay, Philippines, @tabhebeng.jhoving shared a video showing the collapse of a canopy roof during heavy rains. In the video, the author is near Peñaranda Park when the collapsed roof is spotted. Reports stated that around 40 students were practicing for a dance when the incident occurred. Due to the intense rainfall, water accumulated on the canopy, making it heavy and causing it to collapse. Six students were injured—five with minor injuries and one remaining in the hospital.
