Storyline: Recreational vehicle makers in east China accelerate into global markets [Voice_over] Recreational vehicle manufacturers in east China's Rongcheng City are gaining traction in overseas markets with exports on an upward trajectory. The city, a major RV production and export base in China, is home to 14 RV-manufacturing enterprises, with travel trailers one of the top-selling exports. At one local factory, rows of travel trailers are ready to be shipped to Australia and the United States. Among them, a retractable model which has helped the company secure roughly half of the market in Australia. [Sound_bite] Zhang Haijun, Head of production department, Rongcheng Mingjun Outdoor Leisure Products Co., Ltd.: "This model features a rear door with an expandable space. Once unfolded, it becomes a large bed, making the vehicle possible to accommodate two to three people." [Voice_over] Another local manufacturer has also seen robust exports. [Sound_bite] Liu Shaoxun, General manager, Rongcheng Kangpaisi New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd.: "Exports for the first seven months of this year totaled approximately 3,500 to 4,000 units, increasing year by year." [Voice_over] According to local customs officials, RV exports from Rongcheng City exceeded 140 million U.S. dollars in the first seven months of the year, up 8.7 percent from the same period last year.
