Los Angeles, United States - September 02, 2025 09/02/2025 01:11 am GMT-0700 EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 500 block of Rowan Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find a one-story single-family dwelling engulfed in heavy flames, which were also threatening neighboring homes. During the blaze, a power line was damaged, causing arcing at one point. Crews worked swiftly and were able to control the fire in just over 20 minutes. The status of the occupants is currently unknown, and no one was located inside the home. Firefighters remained on the scene to manage remaining hotspots. Meanwhile, neighbors were seen atop their homes spraying water to help combat the flames. Building and safety officials have been requested to assess the structural integrity of the fire-damaged residence. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
