This is the heroic moment a restaurant worker rescued a dog from a fast-flowing river.

The Good Samaritan, 30, wearing a white shirt, jumped into the water to save the hapless brown pooch at Arb Pa Home and Cafe in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Footage captured by Nattanitch Thongjinanon shows the man carefully wading through the current towards the dog on August 26.

He managed to grab the animal and carry it safely to the riverbank.

In another clip, the dog can be seen lying on the grass, visibly weak and panting from exhaustion.

Nattanitch said: 'We are glad that the dog was okay and was not harmed. We even got to pet it why it rests around the area.'
