Storyline: High-tech sectors draw global investors to China's A-share market [Voice_over] The 22nd UBS Securities China A-Share Conference opened in Shenzhen on Monday, attracting institutional investors eager to explore the outlook for China's most innovative companies. [Sound_bite] Fang Dongming, Head of China Global Markets, UBS: "Technology sector is definitely one of the the leading focus for global investor investing into China, whether it's EV and the supply chain of batteries, renewables, and increasingly, the AI supply chain, which is relatively domestic focus, given the geopolitical backdrop, have also attracted global investors' attention." [Voice_over] With China rolling out its new "Artificial Intelligence Plus" action plan, attention is turning to how AI can both upgrade traditional industries and generate fresh drivers of economic growth. [Sound_bite] Wang Feili, China machinery analyst: "I think the biggest opportunity is that humanoid robots actually can resolve the problem, for example, labor shortage and the aging population and also can help humans to switch to high valued work." [Stand_up] Xu Hua, Reporter: "While geopolitical tensions pose real challenges, they are also driving investment in domestic innovation, from AI chips to humanoid robots, opening new opportunities within China's A-share tech landscape." [Voice_over] Looking ahead, analysts expect China's upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan to roll out additional fiscal and policy support for high-tech sectors. [Sound_bite] Zhang Ning, senior China economist, UBS: "The PBOC can provide or even expand the size of special facilities, like our lending facilities, to support the targeted sectors including AI tech, with a bigger quota and with a lower interest rate. The financial market can offer more support to the tech sector as a whole - for the fundraising, IPO market, the bond issuance, and also the PE and VC market." [Voice_over] As the conference wraps up, the outlook for China's A-share tech sector remains strong, powered by policy support, market momentum, and a fast-adapting innovation base.
