This is the dramatic moment a python fell from a factory roof and calmly slithered away.

Workers spotted the 13ft (4m) reticulated python coiled on a purlin before it plunged to the ground in Sukhothai, Thailand.

Footage shows shocked employees screaming as they witnessed the snake slipping from the beam, its body dangling in the air on August 20.

It then dropped to the floor before crawling to safety, hiding behind a nearby trolley.

Factory workers can be seen cornering the serpent and capturing it with a pole. The snake then coiled around a metal bar as it was dragged out of the building.

One of the employees said: 'I think it had climbed up to hunt birds, but because of the scorching heat, it came down. I saw the snake struggle to move because its tail was tangled in the nest.'

The python was then released back into the wild.

No one was reportedly harmed during the encounter.

Pythons are non-venomous constrictors known for ambushing their prey and wrapping around it to suffocate it.

These snakes often wander into residential areas in search of food, especially during the hot season when their natural habitats are disturbed.
