The video, filmed in Minneapolis, MN, USA on July 2, shows the man getting down on one knee in the middle of the court, before carrying on with the game after she says "yes".

He later wrote online: "My girlfriend and I met through volleyball, and our relationship was built on the foundation of playing volleyball together.

"We attended as many local tournaments as we could together."

"Our love for volleyball turned into something bigger as we continued to grow closer to one another," he continued.

"We met through volleyball, all of our closest friends also play volleyball, so I figured that the volleyball court with our friends' assistance with the proposal would be a great idea."
