Following the talks, the two leaders held a joint press conference.

Zelenskyy on Wednesday arrived in Denmark to hold bilateral negotiations, as well as to meet with leaders of the Nordic and Baltic states.

“Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Denmark for a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and negotiations with the leaders of the NB8 (Nordic-Baltic Eight),” the presidential press secretary, Serhii Nykyforov, told reporters, according to the Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform.

Zelenskyy’s arrival in Denmark comes just hours after he declared a series of talks with Kyiv’s partners for the coming days, during which they will discuss the need for “strong pressure measures” against Russia.

“We are preparing significant reinforcements for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said, further noting that he will also hold a bilateral format in France to coordinate efforts.

The Ukrainian president added that they are also preparing a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing,” as well as “new steps” in ties with the EU and the US. He did not further elaborate on the steps concerned.

“I thank everyone who is helping. Every Russian strike must be met with a real response,” he added.

Ukrainian authorities have reported overnight Russian airstrikes across the country earlier Wednesday, with Ukraine’s Air Force claiming on Telegram that its air defenses shot down 430 out of 502 drones, as well as 21 out of 24 various types of missiles, launched by Moscow.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a later statement that it launched a group strike overnight on "enterprises of the military-industrial complex and fuel infrastructure of Ukraine."
