Phoenix, United States - September 04, 2025 09/03/2025 11:43 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to initial reports of a shooting at a smoke shop near the 43rd Avenue and Fairmont Avenue. According to the Phoenix Police Department's watch commander at the scene, officers arrived to find an adult male with stab wounds. Per the commander, two males were involved in a verbal altercation. The altercation escalated, resulting in one male stabbing the other. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. The male victim was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. Phoenix police established a crime scene in the parking lot of a business plaza where the victim was located.
