Drone footage showed vast crowds gathering around Al Saleh Mosque in Sabeen Square, waving flags and displaying large banners during the commemoration. The events in Sanaa were part of nationwide gatherings across Yemen to observe the annual religious anniversary. Mawlid al-Nabi commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Mecca on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi’ al-awwal in the year 570 CE.
