Storyline: Boat tours buoyed by tech in China [Voice_over] Since the start of the summer, China's waterway tourism has been making a splash. In June, officials from China's Ministry of Transport launched 36 so called "golden waterway tourism routes" to boost consumer spending. In central China's Hunan Province, nighttime tours on boats topped with panoramic glass are set to start in September. [Sound_bite] Liu Chunlin, Chairman, Huaihua Sports Center Co.,Ltd.: "The boat is a very good place to experience a performance. There is smart device in the boat. We combine technology with performance." [Voice_over] For a more personalized experience, unmanned driverless boats are being introduced for use on the waterway routes. Resembling a floating studio apartment, and fitted with LiDAR, the vessels can be automatically dispatched based on passenger flow. China's newly designated golden waterway routes stretch across 23 provinces and cities in the country. [Restrictions : No access Chinese mainland]
