This is the dramatic moment police chased down an illegal ammo seller in Thailand.

Officers raided the home of Kittisak ‘Ae Khonkaen', 51, in Khon Kaen province after discovering dozens of financial trails linking him to illicit ammunition sales online.

Cops swept into his residence to detain him on September 2.

Footage shows police converging on Kittisak's car as he was trying to flee. They seized from the premises 16 items, including parcel shipping equipment, bullets, bank account books, mobile phones, and firearms.

Police Colonel Manoon Kaewkam, superintendent of the Crime Suppression Division's Subdivision 1, said Kittisak had delivered more than 60 shipments of ammunition to customers across Thailand.

He said: 'After his arrest, Mr. Kittisak confessed to smuggled illegal ammunition online for over four years, purchasing them from gun shops for resale. He has a diverse clientele spread across the country.

‘We apprehended the suspect and handed him and the seized items over to the inquiry officer for further legal action.'

Thailand has one of the highest gun ownership and gun homicide rates among Southeast Asian nations.

Though Thai authorities have vowed to tighten gun control, there are around 4 million unregistered guns, often smuggled from war-torn countries, in circulation, the Ministry of Interior said in 2023.
