ACWA SPEAKING IN ARABIC GAZA, PALESTINE - SEP. 5: Witnesses to the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip called on the world on Friday (Sep. 5), on the 700th day of the war, to the world to take action and for the war to be stopped. Al Arabiya correspondent Islam Badr, Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza, and Doctor Issam Abu Acwa from the Al Ahli Baptist Hospital in the northern Gaza, spoke to the world after 700 days of bombardment, destruction, forced displacement, and starvation. Witnesses to the war called for the mobilization of world's humanitarian conscience and for the war to be stopped. Israel has already killed more than 64,200 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
