US, Phoenix: Phoenix Metro Overnight Monsoon Brings Flooding
Phoenix, United States - September 04, 2025 09/03/2025 09:00 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX METRO, Ariz. – A series of severe thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall and strong winds across the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area, affecting several cities and causing streets and freeways to flood. Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the eastbound US-60 to northbound L-101 transition ramp for heavy flooding that disabled two vehicles. The ramp was temporarily closed as the vehicles were recovered and the roadway was drained. Troopers also responded to several minor traffic collisions caused by the wet roads.
