Footage has emerged from China of a woman holding a stick flowing in floodwater being rescued after four hours.

The video, filmed in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Monday, shows a woman holding a stick flowing with the floodwater among wood residue.

Rescuers throw life buoys under a bridge to try to rescue her.

Because of the fast-flowing floodwater, the woman failed to grab the life buoys under the bridge.

After she was dragged down river, four local people who were good at swimming rescued her successfully and then she was sent to hospital.

When woman was rescued, she has already flowed for more than four hours.

After treatment in hospital, she was getting better now.
