In fact, as the oldest songket in Indonesia, Silungkang songket was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage on October 8, 2019. This includes the unique 5M activities (Mancolok, Manuriang, Mahani, Maharok, and Mananun) that visitors can only find in the Silungkang community.
