US, Los Angeles: Long Beach Fence Collapse Leaves 1 Dead

Los Angeles, United States - September 08, 2025 09/07/2025 06:50 pm GMT-0700 LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach police and fire departments responded to a medical emergency Sunday evening in the 2200 block of Pasadena Avenue. Upon their arrival, first responders found an adult male who had gone into full cardiac arrest after a fence reportedly collapsed on him. Despite the efforts of the Long Beach Fire Department to perform lifesaving measures, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The individual was working on the property when the wall collapsed on him. The Long Beach Police Department remained on-site to assist with crowd control, and a body shield was requested. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified and will respond to the scene.
