Passenger argues with air hostess on flight to Dallas
A rude passenger was caught on camera telling an air hostess to ‘shut up' before being offloaded from the plane.
The American Airlines flight from Costa Rica to Dallas was preparing for take off as the crew read safety instructions when the woman allegedly interrupted.
She said: ‘You should shut up. I can't hear.'
The attendant quickly walked over to her and explained the rules during the incident on September 2.
She said: ‘Do you want to get off the plane? Because I don't feel comfortable with you if you're not going to follow instructions.
'You're not on my list as someone who can't hear. So I'm going to ask the pilot to remove you because you're not complying. You know what you did, right? I asked you to turn off your phone.'
The passenger agreed she would comply but she was later escorted off the plane.
She said: ‘I'm not bothering you. You all are harrassing me at this point.'
Traveller Jay Crenshaw, who was seated beside her, said the incident began when the woman noticed her seat was dirty and asked the same attendant to clean it, which she did.
The passenger then continued her phone conversation as the safety audio began to play. When the attendant asked her to stop and pay attention, the confrontation was caught on camera.
He said: 'I think the passenger knows she was wrong. I'm definitely not excusing her behaviour. She's a person and we've all had bad days and have said bad things because of it but we weren't on film.
'I hope people can remember this and give her a bit of grace. At the same time, I also hope she can learn from this and improve.'
