Selfish tourists blocked traffic by standing on a stool to record social media clips of themselves.

Thitikorn Maneeprao was driving past a crossing when he spotted two foreigners in the middle of the walkway on the busy Chinatown Road in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dashcam footage shows the pair taking turns balancing on a plastic chair as they captured videos and photos of the area on September 2.

The lights were on green, but cars can be seen slowing down to avoid the holidaymakers.

Thitikorn said: 'If they were locals, they would have known not to obstruct the road and place a chair to take pictures. It is quite dangerous.'

Under Section 109 of the Land Traffic Act, pedestrians must not obstruct others on footpaths or pedestrian zones without reasonable justification. Violators can be fined up to 500 baht (11.55 GBP).
