This is the touching moment a heroic pedestrian ran in front of an ambulance to clear the traffic.

Dashcam footage captured by Petcharat Kwankhum shows the kindhearted man in a white shirt sprinting along On Nut Road in Bangkok, Thailand, signalling the cars to move aside.

The Good Samaritan can be seen waving his hand to direct vehicles on the opposite side of the lane, making way as the ambulance's sirens blared on September 2.

Petcharat and his colleague, who were driving the vehicle, can be heard giggling with delight at the unexpected help.

Petcharat said: 'Heroes don't need superpowers to be called one. We are so thankful for the man's kindness because it allowed us to move swiftly.'

Drivers in Thailand are notoriously stubborn when it comes to the emergency services. Motorists are often seen refusing to move aside for ambulances.
