2200hrs NCCC (Northumberland County Communications Center) dispatched a 1st alarm assignment for a working garage fire to the rear of 400 East Columbia Avenue, Atlas. Truck 2 rolled and was the 1st arriving apparatus. Crews immediately set up the truck for a master stream and connected to E2 which hit the hydrant and approached the rear of T2.. Atlas Engine 21 setup a blitz fire on side “A” of the structure with a 2 ½ backup from Engine 2. All Mount Carmel Township fire apparatus responded to this incident and I wish to thank those who remained on standby to cover those on scene.Some thermal imaging was used in the production of this video.Several neighbors reported hearing a small explosion at the start of this incident.
