5. PALESTINIAN STUDENT MOHAMMAD AS-SOUS SPEAKING TO REPORTER (In Arabic) GAZA, PALESTINE - SEPTEMBER 08: Palestinian students in Gaza, began taking high school exams electronically, under Israeli offensive and blockade, after a technical glitch caused by a cyberattack was resolved.

According to a report by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, approximately 27,000 students from different cities in the Gaza Strip who registered for the exam took their exams yesterday via an electronic platform.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that the exams were scheduled to begin Sunday morning but were postponed due to technical malfunctions caused by “unidentified cyberattacks and congestion on the electronic platform.”

According to official sources, students in Gaza, especially going to high school, have been unable to access regular education for two years due to the Israeli army destroying approximately 90 percent of schools and educational institutions.

Israel has killed more than 64,500 Palestinians in a brutal offensive in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
