China - August 05, 2025 On August 5, 2025, a dangerous lane change on the Quannan Expressway in Yongxin, Jiangxi, triggered a serious accident involving multiple vehicles. A driver in the slow lane attempted to overtake a truck without maintaining a safe distance and abruptly moved into the fast lane. A car in the fast lane could not avoid the maneuver, colliding with the vehicle and then losing control, striking the left side of the slow-lane truck. The impact caused the truck to tip over. The original driver’s vehicle also lost control, hitting the central guardrail before being struck by the overturning truck. The crash resulted in damage to three vehicles and the truck’s cargo, but fortunately no one was injured. Dashcam footage revealed the lane change occurred just as the driver’s car barely entered the fast lane, with no proper distance from the oncoming car.
