Israel: IDF Chief of Staff Orders Full Closure of Terrorists’ Village Following Deadly Jerusalem Attack
Jerusalem, Israel - September 08, 2025 Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi conducted a field visit to an observation point overlooking the village from which the terrorists who carried out today’s deadly attack in Jerusalem originated. He held an on-site operational assessment with Central Command head Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller, the Binyamin Brigade Commander, and other officers. Lt. Gen. Halevi announced a full closure of the area and emphasized that the IDF will pursue terror cells and dismantle their infrastructure wherever they exist. He praised the IDF soldier and civilian who neutralized the attacker, highlighting their composure and quick response. The Chief of Staff also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
