Police arrest terrorist supporters at protest outside UK parliament
Police arrested supporters of a terrorist group during a protest outside the UK parliament.
Footage shows activists gathered outside in Westminster, central London, many carrying anti-government signs, on September 6.
The rally was held to show opposition to the UK government's ban on Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian group designated as a terrorist organisation.
The Metropolitan Police said more than 890 people were detained, the highest number of arrests at a single protest to date.
Critics condemned the ban as an attack on free speech and civil liberties, stressing that the rallies had been peaceful.
The government enacted the ban on Palestine Action under counter-terrorism legislation following incidents in which paint was sprayed on aircraft at RAF Brize Norton.
