Badminton player accidentally strikes teammate in the back with shuttlecock
This is the hilarious moment a badminton player accidentally struck his teammate in the back with a shuttlecock.
Gian Carlo Bagsic was playing with his wife, Edjila, and friends when he smashed the speeding birdie into his game partner, George, during an intense match at HP Badminton Court in Laguna, the Philippines.
Footage shows the group rallying the shuttlecock when Jericho, one of the opponents, hit a high clear toward Gian, who then went for a kill on August 31.
However, instead of sending the feathered projectile over the net, it struck George.
George can be seen holding his back in pain, slowly kneeling down and groaning, while his friends laugh at the comical mishap.
Gian said: 'The game was getting intense, and I just wanted to score, so I put all my force into the smash. But unfortunately, the shuttlecock didn't reach the opponent—it went straight to my partner. After that, we continued the game.'
