The interdictions were part of Operation Pacific Viper, carried out by the Coast Guard Cutter Stone. Seven suspected smugglers were detained during the mission. Last week, the Coast Guard announced that it has seized more than 18 tons (40,000 pounds) of cocaine in the Eastern Pacific since the launch of Operation Pacific Viper early last month.
