This is the dramatic moment a house collapsed today as floods struck the popular island of Bali.

Footage shows a three-storey home crumbling along the banks of the Badung River in Denpasar on Wednesday, September 10, under a gloomy sky.

A cloud of dust and debris engulfed the area as the destroyed home was swept away by floodwaters.

Local media reported that at least three residents, a mother and her children, were missing following the incident.

In another part of the island, a woman was swept away by strong currents after falling from her motorcycle while attempting to cross a flooded road with her husband in Jembrana Regency.

In nearby Negara City, a hotel was inundated, forcing guests to evacuate to safer ground.

The intense downpour that began Tuesday morning lashed the island, causing flooding in several villages across the region.
