Homes were flooded after four days of continuous rain battered parts of Thailand.

Footage shows a heavily inundated residential area, with floodwaters pouring into houses in Samut Prakan on September 8.

Reports said several villages and public sites were affected, including Wat Nam Daeng, Bang Chalong, Chonlathep Bangphli, Klom Phirun, and Kheha Bang Pu.

Resident Birdee Diloknitas was stunned as water rushed into her home following the heavy downpour.

Birdee said: 'I've lived here for 35 years and never experienced flooding this bad.'

The Thai Meteorological Department said a monsoon trough was moving across northern and central parts of the country, while a moderate southwest monsoon continued over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand.

The forecast warned of scattered heavy rain nationwide, with very heavy rainfall expected in Bangkok, nearby provinces, and eastern regions.

Authorities advised residents to be cautious of flash floods and rising water levels, especially in low-lying areas and near hillsides.
