A TikTok video capturing one of the more bizarre breaches of in-flight etiquette has gone viral, after passenger Aine documented a fellow traveller repeatedly resting his foot on her armrest during a VietJet flight to Bali.

What began as a suspected prank quickly turned surreal, as Aine realised the man behind her had fallen asleep — foot still firmly planted on her armrest. Despite nudging it away with her elbow, the foot returned multiple times, undeterred and unapologetic.

On board my flight on vietjet airlines, a passenger behind my placed his foot on my arm rest multiple times. At first I thought it was some kind of joke, but then I realised he had actually realise he had also fallen asleep… well for some!!!! I used my elbow to burn that it was in my way but he continued to place it back up. Hilarious and horrible at the same time, definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
