Storyline: Nineteen children from Gaza in need of urgent medical care arrived in Jordan on Wednesday, accompanied by 47 family members and accompanying personnel. This is the 11th group of children from Gaza transferred to Jordan for medical treatment as part of the Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative aimed at supporting Palestinians and alleviating their humanitarian suffering. After receiving treatment, these children will return to Gaza with their families, while Jordan prepares to receive new patients under the initiative, which is implemented in cooperation with the World Health Organization. "He was hit very badly. A large piece of shrapnel struck his head. As you can see, he has many stitches, but those are only on the surface. The shrapnel penetrated from left to right through his brain, causing serious brain damage. It has affected his eyesight, hearing, and memory. He is not clear in his mind. In Gaza, our hospitals are in terrible shape -- no painkillers, let alone pain injections or bandages," said a family member of a child. The Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative was proposed by Jordan's King Abdullah II in February and officially launched in early March to address Gaza's collapsing healthcare system amid ongoing conflict.
