US, Los Angeles: Griffith Park Fiery Fatal Crash Disrupts Morning Commute

Los Angeles, United States - September 10, 2025 09/10/2025 03:10 am GMT-0700 GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – First responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department, Glendale Fire Department, and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of a crash at the intersection of the 5 and 134 freeways. A gray sedan was reported to be blocking the number one lane on a blind curve when it was struck by a BMW sedan. The force of the collision caused the gray sedan to burst into flames. Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in fire. They discovered one individual deceased in the burning car. It remains unclear at this time if anyone sustained injuries in the BMW. As the investigation continued, the California Highway Patrol had closed the first three lanes on the northbound side.
