Los Angeles, United States - September 10, 2025 09/10/2025 12:30 am GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division officers reported that they were pursuing a stolen vehicle. The pursuit intensified when the suspect crashed into a BMW at the intersection of Francisco and 8th streets. In the aftermath of the crash, an LAPD officer collided with a traffic signal and a nearby building. Despite the chaos, officers confirmed that the suspect managed to flee the scene, possibly heading north on the 110 Freeway from 8th Street. Officers subsequently requested assistance from the Fire Department for the crash. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The building on the southwest corner of 8th and Francisco, identified as Thea at Metropolis Apartment Buildings, sustained damage due to the crash.
