Drivers have mass road rage brawl over minor collision
This is the chaotic moment drivers had a mass road rage brawl over a minor collision in Thailand.
Footage shows several men exchanging blows, causing traffic congestion in the middle of a busy road in Songkhla province on Thursday afternoon.
Other drivers were heard honking for them to leave the area. Officers later arrived, but the group carried on fighting despite attempts to control them.
Police said the brawl was sparked by truck driver Kittithat Jekphangthiam, 25, bumping into the side of a pickup truck, which was emerging from an alley.
Kittithat claimed he tried to brake, but the truck kept moving forward due to the rain-slicked road.
Enraged pickup driver Witsanu Thongsai, 33, then confronted him. The older man was reportedly furious at Kittithat for endangering his pregnant wife, who was in the passenger's seat during the collision.
Police Lieutenant Pongsakorn Laocharnnarong of the Sadao Police Station said: 'The pickup truck driver was still furious.
'He and his friends threw punches at the other driver right in front of police. We have taken both of them to the station for questioning.'
Road rage is a common problem in Thailand, where aggressive driving and a lack of enforcement often lead to violent confrontations on the roads.
Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
