6-Year-Old Falls Into Open Manhole in Hyderabad, Rescued by Mother

A shocking incident was caught on CCTV in Hyderabad’s Yakutpura area on Wednesday, when a six-year-old girl fell into an open drain.
The footage from Moula Ka Chilla shows the child walking alongside her mother when she suddenly stumbles and slips into the uncovered manhole. Her mother reacts instantly, pulling her out to safety within moments.
The girl’s parents later expressed outrage at the negligence of civic authorities, blaming the incident on the open drain being left uncovered.
Thankfully, the child escaped unharmed, but the incident has raised serious questions over public safety and civic responsibility in the city.
