“Today, the ships from Spain are set to depart Bizerte for Gaza. The boats, leaving Sidi Bou Said port on the high seas, will meet up with the vessels joining the flotilla from Tunisia and together they will head for Gaza.”

"The flotilla will depart Bizerte today with 22 foreign vessels. The vessels include participants from the US, Latin America, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, and European countries."

"We postponed the departure on Wednesday due to weather conditions. Yesterday, Friday, technical difficulties arose. BIZERTE, TUNISIA - SEP. 13: The Global Sumud Flotilla, waiting at the Bizerte port of Tunisia will set sail for Gaza on Saturday (Sep. 13), said a member of the Global Sumud Flotilla’s Maghreb branch.

The ships will meet up with the boats departed from the port of Sidi Bou Said in the capital Tunis on the open sea, according to Halid Bojouma.

The Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza’s departure from Tunisia has been postponed recently due to weather conditions and technical issues.

Speaking to Anadolu, Bojouma stressed, "We postponed the departure on Wednesday due to weather conditions. Yesterday, Friday, technical difficulties arose. As a result, we had to remove two of the Maghreb Sumud Flotilla and one of the foreign vessels from the voyage.”

“The technical issues will be resolved today and the flotilla will be ready to depart for Gaza,” he added.
The flotilla will depart Bizerte today with 22 foreign vessels. The vessels include participants from the US, Latin America, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, and European countries, according to Bojouma.

Ships from Italy and Greece are expected to join the flotilla, further expanding the fleet before the Mediterranean crossing.

The Global Sumud Flotilla includes at least 40 vessels carrying between 500 and 700 activists from more than 40 countries.

The convoy is the largest of its kind to date, as previous attempts involved single ships that Israel intercepted at sea.

Organizers said the goal is to challenge the blockade and deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, where famine conditions have taken hold under Israel’s months-long aid blockade.
