The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 64,803, with 164,264 injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Saturday. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks killed 47 people and injured 205 others in Gaza, the statement said. Hospitals across Gaza recorded 73 deaths from starvation over the same 24-hour period, bringing the death toll from famine and malnutrition to 420, including 145 children, according to the health authorities.
