US, Phoenix: Phoenix Search For Tucson Home Invasion Suspect
Phoenix, United States - September 14, 2025 09/13/2025 10:30 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to information gathered at the scene, Tempe police officers located an occupied stolen vehicle at an unknown location within their city. The vehicle was stolen during a home invasion in the city of Tucson earlier in the day. Tempe police units tracked the vehicle into the city of Phoenix. Tempe police requested assistance from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) troopers and the Phoenix Police Department as officers prepared to initiate a high-risk traffic stop. A Grappler Police Bumper was deployed, bringing the vehicle to an abrupt stop near 15th Street and Bethany Home Road. The home invasion suspect quickly exited the vehicle and fled on foot, jumping through multiple residential yards. The Phoenix PD helicopter tracked the suspect while ground units established a perimeter around the neighborhood. Tempe and Phoenix police searched the area with a K-9 unit, clearing multiple properties. A short time later, the suspect was found hiding in the backyard of a home near 14th Place and Bethany Home Road. Officers entered the property and issued commands to the suspect. The suspect complied and was taken into custody without further incident. The Tempe Police Department is the lead handling agency in reference to this incident. Tucson police will be the main point of contact for information regarding the initial vehicle theft/home invasion.
