US, Phoenix: Peoria Fatal Collision
Phoenix, United States - September 14, 2025 09/13/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 PEORIA, Ariz. – Just before midnight, Peoria firefighters and police responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Castle Hot Springs Road and State Route 74. When first responders arrived, they quickly determined that there were multiple patients, including one person who required CPR due to the collision. Police officers initiated lifesaving measures on one of the occupants, but once firefighters and EMS arrived on the scene, they took over. After multiple attempts to revive the individual, it was determined that nothing more could be done, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a Department of Public Safety (DPS) sergeant at the scene, a vehicle ran a stop sign coming off North Castle Hot Springs Road while another car was traveling westbound on State Route 74. The SUV T-boned the other vehicle, resulting in significant damage. With assistance from the Arizona Department of Transportation Rapid Response and Peoria police, all directions of travel were shut down until the early morning hours. DPS took over the investigation and is working with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office to identify the deceased individual from the collision.
