North Pole, United States - September 13, 2025 Arctic Ocean – For the first time, the US Coast Guard’s newest icebreaker, the Storis, has patrolled waters north of the Bering Strait, securing and defending the nation’s northern maritime borders. As the third polar icebreaker in the fleet, Storis was acquired to protect U.S. sovereign interests and guarantee access to the polar regions.
